“Silent Figures”, a book of illustrations by Fabian Van Beek, is a compendium of drawings created between MMXX & MMXXIII.
While intended for a variety of purposes – be it album covers, shirt motives or tattoo designs – all figures hold one thing in common: they are faceless, mute, silent.
Many of these illustrations are based on pieces by old masters of the drawing and etching craft. They are adaptations and re-interpretations of their original forms and can be seen as collage-works.
