Latimeria Chalumnae (Paleo-art)

Latimeria chalumnae is one of two extant species of coelacanth, a rare order of vertebrates.
Coelacanths where long thought to be extinct until the capture of the first live specimens in 1938.
It's finding came as a big surprise, as the creature was known to science only from fossils up to that point.
